A Few things about me

Hey! I'm Mattie. By day you can find me as a Creative and Marketing Department Chair for People Church in Chicago, Illinois. I’ve lived in Chicago for over 7 years. The city itself and my people have my whole heart. I’m pretty much always down to hang, travel, explore Chicago coffee shops and patios, and am often found working out or reading a good book.

This is my life — it’s a little bit of everything. It doesn’t have a “box” and I think that’s just fine.

I’m creative.
I write.
I love to travel and plan travel.
I lead a lot of people and I genuinely love it.
I dabble in social media.
I really like to workout and think it’d be fun to coach one day.
I’ve gotten very into making cakes over the last year and honestly…they’re excellent.
Creating art, arranging florals…anything that piques my curiousity I tend to go after.

One thing I’m sure on? Almost everything I do could be summed up by this phrase: I live to curate experiences. Whether I’m planning a Sunday service or recapping an event on social media…planning a trip or setting an environment up for leaders to thrive, I want to remove roadblocks and create engaging experiences.

Here’s to new things, adventures that are a little scary (always the worthwhile ones), and a life outside the box.
